Conversations Worth Having
After Thought is a long-form conversation and storytelling program created in West Orange County, Florida, with a simple idea at its center: some stories deserve more time.
Rather than reducing people, history, and community issues to sound bites, After Thought creates room for thoughtful conversation. Episodes explore the experiences, ideas, memories, and perspectives of the people who have helped shape the communities of West Orange County.
The format is intentionally flexible. Some episodes are traditional long-form conversations built around an extended interview. Others take a more cinematic approach, combining interviews, locations, history, imagery, and storytelling. What connects them is a willingness to slow down, listen carefully, and explore a subject beyond the surface.
Rooted in West Orange
After Thought began production in 2020 with a strong emphasis on local history and the people and stories of Winter Garden. From those beginnings, the program expanded its lens to encompass the larger West Orange County community, including Winter Garden, Windermere, Oakland, Ocoee, Horizon West, Dr. Phillips, Tildenville, Gotha, and the many neighborhoods and communities that connect them.
West Orange is not a single place or a single story. It is a collection of communities, some generations old and others still being built, each contributing to the identity of this remarkable part of Central Florida.
After Thought exists to explore those stories through the people who know them best.
Told in Seasons
After Thought is produced in seasons rather than as a continuously released program. Months, and sometimes years, may separate seasons as the subjects, format, and production evolve.
That pace is intentional.
Each season represents a particular period in the development of the program and provides the freedom to pursue projects based on the story rather than a release schedule.

Winter Garden, in its own words
The first season established the foundation of After Thought through long-form conversations centered largely on Winter Garden, its history, its institutions, and the people who helped shape the community.
Local history played an especially important role in the earliest episodes, creating conversations that could preserve memories while also helping newer generations understand the community around them.
Season Two | 2023
Across West Orange County
Season Two expanded the scope of After Thought.
The program ventured more broadly across West Orange County while continuing its focus on meaningful conversations with people whose experiences, work, and perspectives offered something worth exploring.
The season also demonstrated that After Thought did not need to be confined to a single format. Long-form interviews remained at its heart, while increasingly cinematic storytelling created new possibilities for how a story could be told.
Season Three | Coming 2027
They Call Us East Winter Garden
Season Three represents the program's most ambitious evolution yet.
The season will center on the feature-length documentary They Call Us East Winter Garden, an extensive documentary production exploring the history, people, memories, culture, and legacy of the Historic East Winter Garden Neighborhood.
Produced with a full production crew and in partnership with One Winter Garden, the documentary brings together extensive interviews, historical research, archival materials, photographs, community memories, and original filmmaking to preserve an important part of West Orange County history through the voices of those who know it best.
Season Three will premiere in 2027.

The program is not limited to one subject. History, community, business, public service, culture, government, faith, personal experience, and the changing character of West Orange County can all become part of the conversation.
The common thread is simple: people and stories worth spending time with.
More Than an Interview
At its heart, After Thought is about curiosity.
It is about preserving stories that might otherwise disappear, understanding the people behind familiar names and institutions, and documenting a community that continues to change with each generation.
Sometimes that requires two people sitting down for a long conversation.
Sometimes it requires cameras, archives, locations, a production crew, and years of work.
The format can change.
The purpose remains the same.
