They Call Us East Winter Garden is a feature-length documentary and the centerpiece of After Thought Season Three, premiering in 2027. It represents an expansion of After Thought beyond the long-form interview and into feature-length documentary storytelling.
For generations, East Winter Garden has been home to families, churches, businesses, community leaders, traditions, struggles, triumphs, and stories that form an important part of the history of Winter Garden and West Orange County. The documentary seeks to preserve those memories while allowing residents and community voices to tell the story in their own words.
The project brings together interviews, deep dives, historical research, archival materials, photographs, community memories, and original documentary filmmaking through a full production crew.
